Love love love! First tried when I moved to Palm Beach five years ago and still go often. The lobster pad Thai is amazing along with all the curry dishes. Has been packed a few times which was annoying but just need to have a reservation. This is a must visit for authentic Thai in Palm Beach!

I like this place for dining in AND taking out. I find their portion sizes for takeout to be incredibly generous and I am always left with extras for the next day!

I like this place but am annoyed that I called at 4:45pm and they told me they couldn't take my take-out order until 5pm and that I would have to call back.

What a great experience we had last Friday. The decor is beautiful, an elegant Thai dinning room and sharp bar area. The staff is very friendly and the food is incredible. Chef Charlie is a fantastic artist with food. We had the spring rolls and steamed chicken and shrimp dumplings. The spring rolls were crispy and not greasy. The filling for the dumplings were so fresh. For dinber I had the duck masaman, a delicious coconut curry sauce that I literally couldn't stop eating regardless of how full I was. My husband had the ginger beef stir fry. The veggies were so bright and fresh. Since it was his birthday, the sand a song complete with instruments (symbols and a gong)! It was a great night with phenomenal food, can't wait to go back!

I usually hate spring rolls but theirs is amazing! the chicken has no seasoning and it's really dark inside. The seating is a little too close and the hostess dresscode is a little too revealing.

My girlfriend took me here for the first time Sunday night. Fantastic intimate atmosphere. Very "cool". Quiet dining. No need to shout across the table. Service was very good. Food was excellent!! The Pad Thai with shrimp was outstanding.

Hands down, the best panang curry sauce I've ever tasted! The right amount of sweet and spice, it's creamy and slightly nutty with the right amount of zing, but still a mellow curry- Great with chicken, shrimp or beef, and fresh veggies. I've also had the pad thai which is very tasty. If you're looking for an awesome, family run, local thai place, you just found it!

Consistently good! Fresh and pleasant! Probably the best Thai in area:) hand the Bronzino-- fresh, flaky and tasty. The basil garlic sauce was delicious. Thai basil w a kick in anise really adds to the flavor:). Definitely recommended:)

My gf and I had a really bad experience. Despite having a reservation we had to wait about 30 minutes. The kitchen was so backed up it took over one hour to get food after we ordered. The whole restaurant felt our pain as we saw people leave without eating. It was a weekend and we dealt with it knowing we would have to wait to be seated anywhere we went. Mama-San was a bit loopy that night. The food was decent once we got it but a bit pricy. We were also surprised that they made no accommodation to customers that waited so long for their food. In summation, decent food, bad service and an expensive dinner that took nearly 2 hours to complete.

My first time here. Really beautiful upscale restaurant. I enjoyed the spring rolls and for my entree, the short ribs. Delicious. Service is slow but the staff was friendly and have a wonderful sense of humor, I wasn't in a hurry. A bit expensive, but really worth it for a special night out. Oh, momma was hi-larious! She's a trip.

Incomparable with any other Thai food in the town! The price was unfair considering the food they served. We had steamed dumplings and it turned out to be shumai. Not to mention that the meat inside was not fresh enough: you can even feel the strange sour taste! Also the fried rice was not better than other Thai restaurant although they were 50% more expensive here. Definitely won't visit again. If you love Asian food this was not a good choice; however, if you just wanna some place to finish your dinner and never care about the price then just go ahead.

Top-notch experience - authentic, flavorful and beautifully presented food. We we're in there on a busy Saturday night and the service and the service was still fantastic with extremely attentive wait staff - without feeling like they we're hassling you. Couldn't ask for more.

Great service! Best Pad Thai I have found! Love lunching there! Everyone that I talk to about it loves it! Great location to my home!

Came here once and probably won't be back. Especially with Thaicoon (north palm beach) and Siam Square (juno beach) both closer to home. The ambiance was nice, the decor was beautiful, the service was awesome (great staff - hostess, waiter, bus boys etc) but the food left a lot to be desired. We got Pad Thai and Panang Curry-- 2 pretty standard dishes-- that were just ok (if that...) Maybe the snowbirds and PGA-ers get confused because the ambiance is formal and upscale, but I'm not sure what all the fuss is about beyond that? Thanks anyway, Talay Thai! Giving 3 stars instead of 2 bc staff was on their game, which is always appreciated! :)

This place is fantastic. Beautifully appointed, great food and excellent service!!! We were also surprised that they had Sun Ray Venus Clams on their menu as an appetizer so we asked the waitress where they got them. We were told the name of their supplier, and come to find out, their supplier got them from PureGrown Aquaculture in Indiantown, FL ... a business owned by my husband and our son runs!!!!! This was a first to find a restaurant serving our product out of the blue!!!! And they were delicious. Our waitress told Chef Charlie Su that the clams came from our facility and he came out to talk to us saying he was very pleased with the flavor and quality. Wow. Everything else we had was great too. I asked to have lobster stir fried with cashew and seasonal vegetables, which was not on the menu, but it was expertly prepared and presented, and was delicious. My husband and our guest went through two servings of the clams and spring rolls, our guest had the duck (which he said was excellent), and my husband and I also had a bowl of the rock shrimp won ton soup. Mmmmmm soooo good. We finished off the night with coffee, ice cream and fried ice cream. Really one of the best dining experiences we've had in Florida. I highly recommend this restaurant and we definitely will be going back.

The best Thai in town! Panang Curry Beef Short Ribs are absolutely the best choice of the expansive menu. But you will love anything that you order, you can't go wrong.

Had the Tofu Pad Thai. Found it to be very bland. Thaicoon on Northlake is much better.

As we approached the restaurant we were greeted by the owners mother, as she sat outside on a bench, "oh hello, do you have a reservation, sweeties?" What a nice way to be welcomed to dinner! We ordered appetizers and drinks which came in the appropriate amount of time. They tasted great. Then our entrees arrived which ranged from spicy to sweet with a variety of proteins and veggies. All of which tasted wonderfully.

Mama Su and Charlie have the best Thai food I have ever eaten. Their masaman curry is my go to dish, 3 stars. Lunch is definitely a good choice if you want to try it for less than $15. Lunch comes with soup or salad. If you want good Thai and good company, you're in the right place.

I went there recently for the first time. I consider myself a connoisseur on Thai food and I have gone to many Thai restaurants. they had the best pad Thai I have ever had! The ambience of the restaurant is beautiful also. I highly recommend this place!

The owner discriminates against you if you have kids and tries to tell you there are no open tables even when you can clearly see the place is half empty.

My go-to restaurant in area. Phenomenal Thai. Perfect spring rolls. Fried calamari even better, which is saying something. Fried snapper unbelievable (magnificently presented: chef Charlie Soo is brilliant). I always order #4 spice. Friends swear by the Lobster Pad Thai, and in fact ask me to take them here because of it when they are in town). Shrimp red curry is exceptional: even the rice is good. All vegetables are crisp and fresh. Complementary pineapple for dessert is also beautifully presented. Service is perfect. Beautiful waitresses are competent and well-informed. His mom (the greeter) always makes me feel at home. Prices are reasonable. If you're in the area, don't miss it (and even if you don't live around here, make a point to visit).

I am in agreement with many of the yelpers here, but applying my own rating scale. I rank Talay up there by Florida standards. Probably better to break this review down into stars 5 stars for presentation. The food came out artistically arranged and in various interesting dishes. The table was a feast for the eyes. 4 stars for the food. Delicious pad thai and appetizers. Can't claim to be a thai food expert, but have patronized enough of them to recognize great cuisine. Talay delivers. Excellent curries and noodle dishes. Our server was also excellent. 3 stars for the prices. Thai food isn't expensive. And it certainly isn't $30 entree expensive. The over-the-top prices are probably designed to bleed the local captive PGA audience. 2 stars for the atmosphere. The tables are just generic with a mix of modern tacky lighting, banquet chairs/tables and some interesting Thai art and woodwork on the walls. 1 star for the abysmally inappropriate comments from the owner (manager?) upon my arrival. I was conducting an interview dinner and this matronly woman took it upon herself to compliment my interviewee (an international scholar scientist) as a "pretty girl" and patted me on the back calling me a "lucky man." Dear manager person: while I applaud your friendliness and can't help feeling somewhat charmed by your quaint inappropriateness, I advise against this sort of commentary in the future. I may be back for a personal dinner (with my husband!!) but can't risk another business dinner engagement in your establishment. Yikes yikes yikes.

Fantastic Thai place! The decorations inside is nice. I always get the lobster pad Thai or the chicken pangang curry! Thai tea here is good. Presentation is beautiful and most importantly food is delicious.

Fantastic restaurant! My husband and I frequent this one for lunch and are never disappointed. The basil stirfry and chicken fried rice are especially delicious. Their vegetables are always so fresh and crunchy and servers are consistently attentive.

We were driving to Miami from Orlando and unknowingly took this exit for a restroom break! We noticed a complex next to the gas station and decided to check it out instead of surrendering to burger king! What a find! As soon as we entered for lunch, we were captured by restaurants' ambiance. We were seated immediately and their one page menu was to the point. We ordered veg fried rice and green curry. They both turned out very delicious and quantity & quality were really good. The price was very nominal (I actually wouldn't had mind paying 10% more for what we got)! They also gave a chicken wonton soup for entree which comprised of chicken momo / dumpling. Simply yummy and amazing! A must try if you are around...

The decor is elegant Asian, but not stuffy. Food is great...but perhaps a little overpriced. The waiter, Dawn, must have been having a bad day. She did not smile once, and forgot to ask about dessert even though we mentioned we were considering it. After bringing us the bill, we noticed she had rung us up for an $11 vintage rather than the ordered $7 vintage of Zinfandel. After checking on this for us, she came back to tell us that the menu had not been updated, but just this once they could adjust our bill. Forget about providing us an apology! May I also mention that she verbally confirmed the vintage to us when we ordered. Overall, I like this restaurant and would recommend it as we really did enjoy our Lobster Pad Thai. However, you should steer clear of the scowling Caucasian waitress named Dawn!

Mama is the best, she runs this place and greets everyone personally at the tables, walks you to the door and if it's your birthday or special occasion she will come out and sing you a song with a special Thai drum. Super cool and the food is top notch. We are from Los Angeles and know good Thai, this is it! Lobster Pad Thai is a must try!!!

They have some seriously good chicken pad thai at this place. Actually, everything here is pretty good. love the masala curry

Pad Thai level 3 with shrimp was amazingggg! Server was somewhat aggressive and annoying, but I would have this dish as my last meal. And the pineapple at the end is also perfect :)

  • Lynda H.

Food and service inconsistent. Sometimes, it is great so high $$$ not a problem. Other times food was o-k-a-y, and service slow or inattentive. Our experience has always been between awesome-to-acceptable. Am not sure why? Management? Owner? Chef? Who knows, but often Talay Thai is not our first choice. If we are going to spend $$$, we wish to feel confident when we first walk in the door. Someone mentioned in previous Review of "Thaicoon," a few miles away. They are very attentive, food service timely, atmosphere and foo quality always the same: Awesome! They are somewhat pricey as well, and you trust you will leave happy and without a chance of disappointment.

If you MUST be in the Palm Beach Gardens area, which I cannot recommend under any set of circumstances, this is the place for Thai. I particularly recommend the lobster pad thai, which was among the best 5 thai meals I have consumed in my entire epic life.

Last week we went to go visit grandma at the cemetery. Since the whole family was together for the occasion we thought we'd grab lunch after, although no one knew the area well enough to suggest a restaurant. I did what I usually do and turned to Yelp and found a 4 star thai restaurant in the area. Score! My good old iphone took us on a very random way to go there (we even cut thru a neighborhood) so I had my doubts that this would live up to the Yelp reviews. However, once we arrived at this cute restaurant (much cooler atmosphere than I had expected) I knew we were in store for a delish lunch. It wasn't very full for lunch so we got a table right away. Nathan was our waiter and he did a fabulous job taking care of us. He took our orders immediately (fried rice for me) and the food was out 10- 15 minutes later. My fried rice was pretty tasty and from the "yums" around the table it sounded like the rest of the fam enjoyed their meals as well. Nathan brought out complimentary fresh pineapple at the end of the meal, which was a nice touch (especially after spicy thai food). Future visits to Talay Thai is just another reason to visit grandma. We all agreed that if grandma was alive she would have said this was the best food she's ever had. Then again my super positive grandma said that about every restaurant, but have to admit this one is pretty good.

We (party of 2) ate at Talay Thai last Monday night. I just wish this restaurant was near where I live in Connecticut, not all the way in Florida. I would eat there every week! I am vegan and their food is so good. I had a green curry with tofu. The texture of the tofu was the best I've ever had. The restaurant is beautiful. The service is impeccable. I love the woman who runs the restaurant and is the hostess. Prices were very good. I just cannot say enough good things about this lovely restaurant.

This place deserves 10 stars! The food is beyond amazing. We had calamari and clams for apps - so yummy! Then satay stickers. Followed by Chilean Sea Bass with a Thai vegetable medley. The chef/owner, Charlie Soo, provided an amazing meal, fantastic atmosphere and exceptional service. I look forward to going back again.

Yum! I'd heard the food was legendary, and it deserves it reputation! We had a wonderful dinner there. There are no vegetarian options on the appetizer menu, but they'll make the sping or summer rolls veg is you ask. We had the veggie summer rolls, which were great. The panang curry is outstanding -- probably the best I've had. The drunken noodles were also vere good. Great wine list, and friendly service.

This restaurant will not disappoint you. Our party of 6, most of whom are picky eaters all raved over our entrees. The lobster pad Thai, the shrimp pad thai, the amazing hog snapper were all perfect. Our service was excellent; unobtrusive, but always there when we needed him. 5 stars!

Good Thai food. I'm not a big nor a connoisseur but enjoyed last night dinner. We shared some summer rolls, spring rolls and dumplings for appetizers. All were good and fresh. 4 pieces per appetizer. The summer rolls were my favorite. The dumplings were very hot (in temperature) and that was good, nobody likes cold dumplings. For dinner the pad thai was a big winner!! Chicken, beef and shrimp pad thai were ordered and all were good. Green curry was good with a nice coconut sauce. I got the basil stir fry and it was good, but maybe too much broth. The good thing there is that you can choose your level of spiciness! Portions are good, service is good and decor nice too.

this is the best tie food ever. we fly and eat all over the country. Cindy was a wonderful server. Dianna was a super bartender. the pad tie is such a tourist type meal but this is one to get! 3 on the spice = medium. Masaman curry with tofu to die for. super nice place with nice bar!

Our favourite dinner spot. It has a family atmosphere with all of the regulars and the staff is consistent so you always feel at home. The menu is small but fantastic. Chef Charlie Soo and his staff are great... we have been going for years and always bring in new friends to try the food. :)

The food we had for lunch was delicious. Steamed dumplings, green curry and the Tom kha chicken soup. We love good Thai food and this was really delicious. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service was good too. The prices were very reasonable and the portion sizes were good.

We were visiting West Palm beach and we're looking for a Thai place. I looked on yelp and we came across this place. It said they were kid friendly on yelp. We had a one year old with us. We reached the hotel and were told that if your child starts to cry you will have to leave the restaurant, as there are some private parties going on. The hostess actually asked us to take carry out instead. We were extremely surprised and thought it was very rude. We did land up doing carry out, and the food was great! BEWARE of this place if you have kids. The older people which dominate the neighborhood have problems with the younger generation!!!

  • Shirley F.

Authentic Thai with great service and nice ambiance. From the moment that we walked in to the moment that we walked out, it was a pleasant dining experience. Coming from California where it's a given that I'd easily find decent Thai, this place exceeded my expectation of what I imagine PBG would have to offer. Our pad thai was spiced nicely with a kick of chili. It paired very well with a glass of dry Riesling. The only slight disappointment was that our steamed sea bass was a tad undercooked so we had to send it back. But once that was fixed, the meal was a perfect way to end a beautiful gorgeous day in south Florida.

First, let's shoot the elephant: This is not really a Thai restaurant. Wanna call it Thai fusion? Okay. But you'd never find half the dishes here anywhere in Thailand. Now that that is out of the way, most of the food here is quite good. Some would call it pricey, but it seems reasonable for the overall quality. Short ribs with Penang curry are one fabulous beneficiary of the elevation of not-so-Thai ingredients with Thai flavors. Ditto the lobster pad Thai. Beautifully grilled salmon came on a cushion of brown rice and kale - again, not Thai, but very good and well-executed. Head-scratchers include spring rolls. Save the lofty $7 and buy some frozen Taquitos at the market, because we're pretty sure that's where these came from. Tiparillo-sized rolls with no discernible filling? Blecch. Also ordered 'Pork Thai Fried Rice', and was seriously disappointed. Number one fail: If a customer asks for something 'as hot as it comes' and it doesn't have a HINT of heat, you have come up short in the basic-chef-skills department. Seriously short. It shone a bright light on the lack of taste and rubbery, over-cooked pork. Its a place of highs and lows - some dishes soar while others drag everything down. Will go back, but will avoid some offerings with a passion. Another good note: Everyone who works there is cheerful and competent. Oh, and Paul M from Seattle - you have this PBG resident's permission to stay out of our town. We kind of like it here, and we were of the impression that this was about food, not your 'circumstances'.

Exceptional thai restaurant. Food and service were excellent and the ambiance is lovely. They are very attentive to the little details and go out of the way to make your dining experience the very best. We look forward to returning.

Food and service is declining. I used to love this place but recently the food has been off and service is pretty bad too. I ordered lunch for my pregnant friend who is on bed rest and her husband and was told we couldn't get the salad that usually comes with the lunch special because the lunch special is dine in only. Which is fine but my friend really wanted a salad so I even offered to pay extra but then the waitress said she wouldn't know how to ring it up? How hard is it to ring up a side salad? Time to find a new Thai joint.

2nd time here. Friday at 730pm. We had no reservations so its was going to be a 45 minute wait. There was seating at the bar so we decided to eat at the bar instead of waiting. The restaurant is really nice but the bar needs to be updated. The food was slow to come out took about 45 minutes but it was excellent. Had the tom kuka soup, had the duck with vegetables, jasmine rice and curry sauce at level two. Was delicious haven't had a bad meal yet here.

The food is great...if you can get it. We have eaten there several times both in restaurant and carry out. Service is very slow and often out of items. Carry out totally unreliable. This past Sunday night we ordered carry out. We were told 45 minutes over the phone. Arrived in 40 minutes and told to go sit in bar. Not a good sign. 20 minutes later I returned to front desk and was told not ready. By now there were several people in the waiting area who were waiting for carry out. Waited another 10 minutes and then owner arrived at desk and tried to figure out how many carry out orders had to be filled -- none had even been started. Owner said he would go back to kitchen, start everything and come back to tell us how long. He never returned. 15 minutes later I was told at least another 15 minutes. At that point I and others were demanding our money back. Also hostesses were randomly offering some, not all, a 50% discount for the delay. Great food is nice but not if you cannot get it. I am done with this restaurant.

I haven't had such authentic Thai since I lived in Atlanta GA- and God I miss it!! Today was such a great surprise. Lisa, the waitress there, was lovely. She gave me a 1-5 scale to choose from as far as spiciness goes. Initially I chose a 3.5.. she talked me down to a 2. A 3, and I would have been sniffling the entire meal. I ordered the summer rolls to start with, one of my go to's.. I adore peanut sauce and these little soft rice paper rolls filled with lettuce, bean sprouts and shrimp. So refreshing. My main course was the Green curry tofu, heat set at 2 as recommended, and brown rice. It was served with a complimentary soup Today was a light chicken broth with floating greenery in it (broccoli, cabbage, carrot shavings, scallion.) IT was delightful. Just perfect in flavor. So incredibly simple, light, perfect seasoning. I want the recipe.. badly. It's offered every other day, and I did ask if it was the same broth they served the wontons in.. no.. but I can only imagine they have perfected that broth as well. My Green Curry... all ingredients were fresh, cooked just right, the brown rice was a hearty grain, beautiful. It was the Goldilocks of Green Curry.. not too weak.. not too hot. Juuuuuust right! I'm a fan Talay!! Thank you!

Thai food is my favorite cuisine so I love to try new places. This is THE BEST! So fresh, lots of flavor, and always tasty! We got the short ribs (won best entree by the Palm Beach Post)... The meat fell off the bone, Panang chicken curry (my go to dish) which was very, very good! The spring rolls were also very tasty and the coconut stick rice with mango desert was excellent! The family who runs the restaurant is great!

Living in NYC, a four star restaurant is equivalent of a five star elsewhere. But Talay Thai is a five star no matter where it is located. Reasons are service is exceptional, food outstanding, and ambience wonderful. Thank you Matt for being such a great waiter and Charlie for the outstanding food.

This was our go-to for girls' lunches. The food is excellent and the prices aren't bad for portion size. During Season, they do tend to cater to the snowbirds, so make a reservation if you can. We walked into an almost empty restaurant and they would not seat us for fear of "giving away Mrs. So-and-So's regular table because she would be mad." Annoyed, we avoided the restaurant until after Season, but my husband refused to go back even after it had ended. The servers are attentive but because of that incident we chose to eat in other restaurants where our patronage was appreciated.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place :) Great food, excellent service - food is authentic and beautifully prepared. The bar has fantastic cocktails. My personal favorite is the Chicken Panang - yummmmm. Excellent authentic panang flavor. The best Thai in the area imo, priced fairly and we always leave happy! Have tried about 8-10 items from the menu, never found something that wasn't delicious. Pineapple Ginger martini is fabulous!

I have eaten Thai food all over the world and thankfully, Talay Thai happens to be in my neighborhood! We usually order to go and we are never disappointed! Great portions, perfect heat, and deep flavor! Red Curry Chicken, Pad Siew and of course Pad Thai are some of our favorites. $14 Chicken feeds 2 normal people and they dial the heat exactly how you ask...I am a 3 and my husband is a 5. They get it right every time. Charlie, the owner, is always there cooking or to say hello. Just a nice guy that cares and it shows in his food! We highly recommend their food!

I was in Palm Beach for the weekend and I was looking for some good food that wasn't chain oriented. This restaurant didn't have too many reviews, but then again most restaurants in Palm Beach don't since it seems the majority of people are over age 55 and probably think yelp is a foreign word. The reviews it did have were promising so we decided to give it a try. The place was larger and classier than most Thai places I've been to- and since we seem to have a proliferation of them in Miami, I've been to many. Contrary to the phone book style menu most Thai restaurants have where by the time you get to the end you forgot if it was a Thai, sushi, or Japanese restaurant you were at, this was definitely the smallest one I've ever seen at one page! It was the basic Thai food and for me that's all I needed and wanted. I went with the Pad Thai and it was one of the best ones I've had. The portion was sufficient and had an abundance of chicken- not like the usual where you have to search for them. The sauce was perfect and wasn't overly sweet. My husband had the panang curry and it was oh so delectable. First, the presentation was lovely; it came out on a copper style chaffing dish which kept it nice and warm. Second, it had a nice balance to it with the spice and the coconut milk. The service was wonderful and even the chef came around to see how the food was- and not only to our table but to every table. I'm definitely going to go back next time I'm in town.

On lots of peoples recommendation I tried Talay Thai for take out. I had the wonton soup which was fresh and delicious, better than any I have had from other asian restaurants. I also had the shrimp Pad Thai. This was not as amazing as reported, perhaps it was an off night, but for the price, I certainly expect a lot more flavor and quite frankly I have had pad thai just as good at Pei Wei. My wife enjoyed hers and the fact that you can order the spiciness to your liking. And she said the spring rolls were very good.

Talay Thai is my all time favorite restaurant. The food is consistently delicious. You can taste the care they put into making the meal, and selecting the fresh ingredients. I typically order the cashew mixed vegetables with fried tofu and I usually clean my plate it is so good. I am vegetarian and have difficulty finding any restaurants I feel confident eating in. The decor and atmosphere is lovely. The staff is superb. I highly recommend dining here. You won't be disappointed.

Truly gourmet Thai cuisine. Very nice ambiance to the restaurant, very good service too. But it is the food that is outstanding. Unlike your typical Thai restaurant in that you have all of your Thai favorites - just done better and then the additional - out of the ordinary - dishes that you would otherwise need to fly 20 hours to Asia to enjoy. The Mango Sticky rice was the best I've had, especially with the use of "Forbidden rice" in the dish. Can't wait to go back again.

Unexpectedly delicious. Normally Priced. Long Waits. Highly Recommend. I have lived in South East Asia and been to Thailand multiple times. I currently live full time in New York and eat Thai probably once a week. I am a regular thai food junky. Thai food rarely disappoints, but it's become such a staple that it also rarely delights. This is not your run of the mill pad thai factory. A diamond in a a real rough patch of South Florida boring food establishments. There seems to have been an update to the menu-the online menu does not reflect the reality. The current menu focuses much more on inventive entrees-a variety of fish and seafood dishes that you normally don't see outside of thailand. The food-- Lobster Pad Thai: was delicious with a full lobster tail displayed on top. My father made a scene nearly licking the plate clean. The pad thai sauce was very nicely flavored so that you felt it was more than a run of the mill noodle dish. Mussels: (may have been a special) were the best mussels I think I have ever eaten anywhere. If I were back, I would order a double portion for appetizer and dinner. Summer Rolls: were so-so, with a tad too much lettuce filler. But when has anyone actually been happy they ordered summer rolls? Branzini(o) with ginger sauce: Not too adventurous, but delicious. Portions were good. Left very happy and with leftovers to bring up. The decor was fine. A little fancier than usual for the area(white table cloth)-think cookie cutter suburban chinese places but thailand not china. There is also a bar area with TVs in another room so sports fans can watch a game before meeting the fam for dinner.

Mama Soo is an amazing woman, she is such a sweet heart so the service is amazing!! We just got Pad Thai...and a fried fish...but they taste so goood. The desert is to die for...I love their warm banana with coconut...sooooo soooooo goood. IF you ever drive by Palm Beach Garden...give this place a try, I promise you won't regret it. !!!

I went there recently for the first time. I consider myself a connoisseur on Thai food and I have gone to many Thai restaurants. they had the best pad Thai I have ever had! The ambience of the restaurant is beautiful also. I highly recommend this place!

Really good food, friendly staff. Food was slow to come out on Christmas but they gave us 15% off!

Disappointing dining experience. After reading the good reviews I was excited to try it. I frequently eat Thai cuisine, therefore I'm no stranger to the menu. I ordered the Massaman Beef which had halfway cooked potatoes and un-tender beef. For $16 I expect more. The food is just "ok", not worth visiting again.

I am not a big fan of Thai food because not only I have an aversion to spicy food but I also believe their standard for food sanitation is very different from ours. I have seen enough of filthy kitchen with poorly trained workers preparing food. However, occasionally I do have to go to a Thai restaurant and Talay Thai is the only Thai restaurant in FL I don't mind going. Dining room is nicely decorated; kitchen is clean and well organized. Charlie may not have extensive culinary back ground but he certainly has a talent and knows how to cook fabulous food. Charlie & Mama Soo both do good job taking care of their patrons. If you like Thai food you must try this place. Once you do you will not go back to Thai Joe or any other Thai restaurant.

Hello, my name is Anhdao and I am a Thai food-addict. The habit started nine years ago, when I lived in Los Angeles and a drive to Thai town was only 10 minutes. I cannot go more than a couple of days without getting Thai. Any longer than that and symptoms such as sleeplessness, lack in work diligence, and even unnecessary irritation will begin. So being a Thai food addict means I am constantly seeking for Thai restaurants on my travels, even when the trip is just a few days long. It also means I am very picky, slashing off westernized places that fills their restaurants with Buddha decor and decorates their food with tropical flowers, but does not cook authentic Thai food. A first look at Talay Thai reveals a more expensive menu and Buddha decor-filled restaurant. I was skeptical until I tasted the food. We went for lunch so I ordered the usual, basil chicken, pad see ew, and panang curry. All the dishes were delicious and tasted very authentic. I asked for level 3 spice (from 1-5) and the food was a good level of heat. However, from the limitations of the menu (no papaya salad for lunch) they do cater to a non-Thai crowd. But for a place that is located in Palm Beach Gardens and puts orchids on all the plates, Talay Thai satisfied my addiction while I'm in South Florida.

I just moved to the area from a big city, and am really missing good Asian food. Everywhere I turned there was an article or a review on this restaurant, so I decided to give it a try. The first time I got brown fried rice with shrimp to go, way too much sauce very disappointed. 2nd time sat at the bar and ordered the spring rolls. The oil they fried them in tasted rancid, and there was only cabbage in them. The 3rd time I was invited by someone who heard what I did, so they wanted to try it. Food was average at best. Here's my take on this place. They do a good bar business with their regulars from PGA,(most of them smokers & alcoholics) everyone who dines there are world war 2 veterans that wouldn't no good or authentic Thai food if they fell over it, it's extremely over priced for the quality of food. The menu needs an overhaul, and the owner needs to stop catering to people who don't have a clue, and stop trying to Americanizing basic Thai food. If your trying to justify your prices by putting a twist on the food it's not working!

Everyone enjoyed everything. Service was good and prices were fair. My only complaint is that it wasn't spicy enough. I asked for 4/5 on the spice scale and it was very mild. But, I think that's a byproduct of people asking for it spicy then complaining because it's too spicy. I would go again.

The food is fantastic. I would recommend the panang short ribs. The environment is very pleasant and the staff is friendly and professional. Lunch prices are very reasonable and the service is quick on your lunch break.

The absolute BEST Thai food in the Jupiter/PBG area! My husband and I had dinner here last night and we just couldn't stop raving about it! Our waitress, Mary, was so sweet, and we were seated immediately upon arrival. However, we had a fairly early dinner (6pm), so if you're looking to come during a busier time, or on a weekend, my recommendation is to definitely make a reservation. We started with the chicken satay and the fried wonton appetizers, both of which were delicious. The peanut sauce that is served alongside the satay is to die for! My husband had the sweet and sour chicken, which he devoured, while I had the lobster pad thai. It's served in a beautiful lobster tail, and is simply delectable! You can choose how spicy you'd like your meal prepared (1-5), and I went with 4. It was perfect. While it is definitely a bit more expensive than your typical Thai restaurant, the ambiance, quality of the food, and excellent service make it all worthwhile. The portions are very generous, which always makes for leftovers for lunch the following day. If you're looking for fabulous Thai food, look no further! Love this place!

As someone who prefers more authentic, lower priced ethnic restaurants I was a bit skeptical when my parents raved about this place. For starters, it's in one of those locations that's seen 5 restaurants go out of business in as many years. And to make matters worse the tables are covered in white table cloths and the plates in fresh orchids. The whole thing seemed a bit inauthentic and I was going to write the whole thing off until our food came out. Everything was absolutely delicious. The perfect balance of flavor and spice, better than any thai food I've ever tasted. My favorites are the spicy long beans, and any of the curries. It is a little pricier than the typical thai place but it's worth every penny and I always have more than half of my meal left over anyway. The service is great too- the chef comes out to every table to ask how the food is. The only downside to the place is the overly dressy atmosphere but it seems that this is just the trend in South Florida where everyone is focused on outward appearance. The ambiance has no bearing on the food and when the owner's wife comes out to tell you in a thick thai accent how cute your boyfriend is, you won't doubt its authenticity.

Had the Tom Yum soup with seafood which was very tasty. I first had it in Shanghai so when the huuuuuge bowl came out with clear broth (instead of the red broth I thought it would be), I wasn't sure what to expect. But all the flavors were there! It was spicy and good. Next time I will probably tell them to make it super spicy. Not sure why but no one believes me when I say I can take the heat! Will definitely go back.

exceptional food and service. We met Charlie, the owner, who studied under one of our favorite Thai chefs, Nahm, of Alpharetta, GA. The panang was fantastic. atmosphere, superb. Service was great.

Easily one of the best Thai Restaurants in town. Lunch has great specials. Try the Pad Thai . Even if it's not spicy it's tasty . The short ribs are also very good and worth trying. Service is good and very attentive.

Excellent Thai restaurant! I wish this place was closer than 1100 miles from my home. I'd be a regular. Lobster pad Thai was killer. Whole fish was also outstanding. Group of eight and everyone loved their food. Can't go wrong here if you enjoy Thai.

I was in the mood for run of the mill Thai food tonight, so I found a highly recommended place in the area. This was sooo much better than I expected. And the lychee martini was tasty as well We ordered the dumplings which were a mix of chicken and crab...tasted better than expected. The sauce it came with was much sweeter than the normal sauce, which complimented the dumplings well. I was going to order some noodles, but I saw a fish entree pass by, so I decided to go with fish. We ordered the sea bass and the whole fried yellow tail snapper. Our waitress, Polly, asked us what level of heat we would like on a scale of 1 to 5. I'm good with high levels of heat, but thought it was real sweet of her to ask. The sea bass was incredible! It was a large portion of bass with great sauce and great veggies. My order was messed up a little, but when my dish came out, the head chef brought it to me and told me that it will be worth the wait...which it was!!! I think the best part of the meal was the snapper. The presentation was great and it made it fun to eat as well. I'd recommend both of these dishes...the sea bass being much lighter, so depending on if you want a heavier or lighter dish, go with one of these options. Polly, our server, was real nice and attentive. The chef came out with the food...I was amazed and am in love with this place now.

Was very, very good Thai, with a menu of the classics (e.g., Pad Thai) as well as Thai-inspired modern dishes (my King Salmon entree was amazing). If you are lucky enough to have Tyrelle as your server you will be well taken care of.

Best green curry in town! The food and service is consistently wonderful. There are a few other Thai restaurants in the area but this is the one worth craving.

This is absolutely my favorite Thai restaurant. They add a gourmet twist to your traditional Thai entrees. The basil chicken, fried snapper, masaman duck, curry dishes -- all were scrumptious! See my full review with pictures here: thesouthfloridatraveler.…

We came here with friends who go regularly. We had no reservations on Monday of Christmas week (a no-no in Florida). After waiting about 1/2 hr for a table we were seated. The service was truly superb (they graciously took back a glass of wine that the waiter had recommended, but I didn't care for). the waiter was very attentive without being solicitous. the food is prepared for you to your specification of 'heat' form 1-5. We had hog-snapper with woked veggies, lobster & scallop pad Thai, and a couple of personal dishes created by combining choice of noodles, protein, sauce & veggies. Everything was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend!
